UTILITY PURPOSE SOLUTIONS
Introducing the Butt-Lift, a utility construction device for safe and effective broken pole removal, which is the result of 25 years of utility construction experience. The primary function is to aide utility companies in easily removing pole butts safely, effectively, and in the interest of environmental stewardship.
The Butt-Lift is a 30-inch long, 1 7/16-inch diameter cold roll, solid shaft with a 45-degree (or other suitable angle) conical point on the end.
The shaft can be made of varying lengths if needed. The diameter of the shaft can be adjusted if the need arises, in such cases as needed for varying shaft size, or for alternate applications using the Butt-Lift.
The shaft of the Butt-Lift has flighting installed at .286 flights per inch.
The flights are 3.5 inches on center. Although this has been found to be the most effective measurement, alternate flighting positions could be installed for increased efficiency.
The flighting can be made of several different materials varying rebar, cold roll steel, or any type of flighting material. The design can be round, flat, square, or triangular, or any other design in which to improve effectiveness.
The shaft is drilled on the opposite end of the conical point with a hole, allowing the shaft to be attached to the hub.
The Butt-Lift has a hub that attaches to the Kelley Bar of the digger truck in any application, whether it is round, square, or hex application.
The hub is drilled with an 11/16th inch hole matching the hole in the Kelley Bar, allowing the Butt-Lift to be pinned to the Kelley Bar.
The hub can be welded to the shaft, pinned, or attached in any other manner determined to be the most effective or desired.
The Pole Jack allows the Lineworker the option of framing without the need of the boom truck allowing the crew to be more productive.
THE POLE JACK is a safe effective means of lifting the Utility Pole without the use of a boom truck maximum rating of 1000 lbs.
The Rocker Foot and Cant Hook arm are effective in lifting the pole for framing or removal of hardware.
The POLE JACK design allows for retraction of the
tool and limited space required for storage on the truck.
The POLE JACK can be easily carried into the work site it is
designed with a easy carry hand hold.
Its design allows the line crews to be more effective in relation to production, the operator can off load the poles and begin digging while other crew members utilize THE POLE JACK for framing.
The POLE JACK also allows crew members to strip or remove
material from Utility Poles without the need of a boom truck and allows them to work in a comfortable position. It allows them to work in an ergonomically friendly position not bent over on the ground.
